Hi , my name is John and I am a radioamateur with the callsign PA1PJ.
The QTH Amersfoort is in the center of The Netherlands.
Below You will see some of my electronics projects.

SDR-DONGLE
NOAA-reception 137 MHz poes / decoding / plotting : 
  
NOAA-RECEPTION / DECODING / PLOTTING :
Connect a 137 MHz receiver with 40 kHz bandwidth + antenna (eg QHA or Turnstile) into the PC's soundcard
PC with a soundcard , if possible with a serial port (for remote control)
Record the signal of the NOAA weather satellite as a wave-file , use decode software.
Difficult !?   Just try.

Currently active NOAA-satellites with a APT-signal (status on 19.07.2014) :
NOAA-15  137,6200 MHz
NOAA-18  137,9125 MHz
NOAA-19  137,1000 MHz

These recordings are made with a 137 MHz QFH-antenna made from white PVC-pipe vertical 32mm , spacers 16mm
and copper Brake Line Tube 4.8mm.
